CONCERT UPDATE: 2019 Season Finale Available as Virtual Concert on September 5

CONCERT UPDATE: 2019 Season Finale Available as Virtual Concert on September 5

In March, when COVID-19 restrictions forced SLO Symphony to reschedule our May 2 season finale, we anticipated a return to the PAC by August. As you know, further changes to gathering guidelines over the last several months made it necessary for SLO Symphony to make several new plans for this make-up concert.

As much as we hoped to bring the orchestra together to record in an empty hall, new restrictions implemented in the last few weeks have made this option impossible. We are determined to move forward and provide the best concert experience we can to thank our patrons for their patience and understanding as we have navigated this new territory.

The make-up concert on Saturday, September 5 will now be fully virtual. Ticketholders will receive exclusive access to watch this special concert from the safety and comfort of their own homes.

We know a virtual concert is less than ideal. There is nothing we love more than coming together with our community to share the moving, electric joy of live music. However, we must put the health and safety of our musicians, patrons, and staff first, and we must adhere to government guidelines for holding live events.

When we do return to the concert hall, it will be because of generous members of our community. The support of our patrons during this time, while we are forced to be apart, is crucial if we are to come together again in the future. We are so grateful for your willingness to be flexible and to embrace the unconventional format of this make-up concert, and of the season to come.
