Ticket sales alone do not cover the costs to fund the performances the Symphony orchestrates each year. We are not only in the business of making great music; we are in the business of enriching lives for residents of all ages across San Luis Obispo County. The Symphony brings friends and family together for our Classics in the Cohan Series, three Youth Symphony and Chamber concerts each year, provides a broader musical experience to youth with music education programs in 12 schools county-wide, and presents the No Ties Allowed! Open Dress Rehearsals at reduced cost for seniors and students. And, of course, your generous donation is tax deductible. If you’re looking for a sound investment in your community, look no further than the San Luis Obispo Symphony.
It is a little-known fact that subscriptions and single ticket sales account for less than 30% of the cost of bringing music to our community. For the remainder, we must rely on support from businesses, corporations, foundations, and most importantly ... YOU!
