STRINGS IN THE SCHOOLS!

Strings in the Schools provides a before or after-school group string class with a member of the San Luis Obispo Symphony and is open to all 3rd through 6th grade students in SLO County. Classes will begin the week of  September 12, 2016 and will be held through May 2017.

STEP 1: REGISTER 

Simply fill out our online application form. 

 
STEP 2: COMPLETE PAPERWORK & PAY TUITION  

Upon registration you will receive detailed information for the class; all registration paperwork is due by September 9. The need-based Grant Form can be found at the bottom of this page.
Tuition is $375* for the year. Click here to make a tuition payment online.

STEP 3: RENT OR PURCHASE AN INSTRUMENT

Instruments can be rented through the Symphony office (there is a limited number of instruments available; $65 for violins or violas, $85 for cellos for the school year) and there are also many affordable online rental options such as sharmusic.com. Click here to view a quick video on how to find the right size violin or viola or here for cello.

 

 

STEP 4: MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR THE CONCERTS!

Spooktacular on October 24, 2016
String Play Day Concert on April 9, 2017 and 
Finale Concert on May 13, 2017.
