We Love Rock n' Roll

Get ready for a toe-tapping, finger-snapping, entertaining afternoon of rock and roll music. The band Backpages will take you back to the 60’s and 70’s with their retro sounds. Whether you sit back and listen or stand up and dance, you’ll be carried back in time.  Bring a healthy appetite because your dining selections will include improved versions of yesterday’s favorites along with a selection of beer and wine. Whether you come for the music, the food, or the camaraderie, you are sure to have a delightful experience.

A Cuban Pig Roast

You don’t have to go to Cuba; we’ve brought Cuba to you. Join the festivities and show as master pig roaster Michael Framberger roasts a whole pig in his Cuban roasting box. If you have not experienced this one-of-a-kind dinner, you are in for a treat. It’s crisp and slightly charred on the outside, fall-apart tender on the inside. Your unique meal will be accompanied by sauces and sides, adult beverages, and lip-smacking desserts; all served in the historic and recently refurbished parish hall of the Mission. This is one finger-licking, delicious dinner.

Perseid Meteor Dinner at Windrose Farm

Following this leisurely beginning, the evening progresses with a succulent dinner prepared by hosts Barbara and Bill Spencer using their organic produce and locally-raised meat. Then as lights dim, sit back, relax and look to the skies to view the spectacular meteor show. You will be awe-struck by the wonders of nature that are revealed in this idyllic space.

The Ultimate Performing Arts Center Tour

You won’t find another tour of the San Luis Obispo’s Performing Arts Center like this. Your afternoon will begin with a satisfying lunch catered by chef Rochelle Friedman.  After lunch Clifton Swanson will provide an entertaining presentation on the history of the Performing Arts Center. Following this presentation, you go to the PAC and see the building with new eyes as you understand more fully why it is so successful and why it is one of the finest and most flexible halls in the state. You’ll get to go everywhere and do everything. This entertaining afternoon will forever change your appreciation of the PAC.
